New South Wales recorded well above average temperatures in 2015 making it the sixth-warmest year on record for the State.
Rainfall was close to average for the state as a whole, but an east coast low brought heavy rains and mild flooding which saw the parched wetland fill from the river. The flooding washed fish in from the river and saw the raptors return to fight over territory and hunt.
